In 2012 I will be available for appointments in both Rapid City, SD & Loveland, CO. I'm very excited to be able to take care of my friends (& new friends) in Colorado. The Sugar Mill Production gals are amazing, gorgeous & talented... & all about alot of the same things we are here at Gypsy Rose; i.e. empowerment, education, integrity in business & having a good time. I'm stoked to be working with them & can't wait to let you all know about upcoming events in 2012... both in the Black Hills & Loveland! Stay tuned...

October Fund Raiser

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month & since last years fund raiser went so well we decided to do it again. $50 pink ribbon tattoos, pink ribbon sugar cookies from Cakes & More & a raffle all month long with some really cool stuff. Proceeds go to Friends & Family Against Breast Cancer, the local Rapid City support group. Stop by the shop or call 721-1234 for more info.

The rally was a BLAST! Tattooed up in Deadwood at The Grand & will definitley do it again next year. Thanks to all my regulars & the new friends we made for making it such a fun week. Next year's booth will be even bigger to include photos & paintings as well.

Hey Friends & Fans, I know it's been a super long time since my last post. I'll try harder... however, if you Facebook I do post there pretty regularly. At any rate here's what's new & upcoming at the shop. We welcomed Dani J. to the shop! She is our full time body piercer & aesthetician. So swing & say hi & maybe let her stick, wax or peel you. lol We are looking forward to a great Summer. The G.R. 5 year anniversary is coming up the 1st part of June & we are all stoked. All month long we will have shop specials & give-aways. We're planning a poker run the Summer plus some other great stuff... so stay tuned & stay true.

Hey all... we're going to open up this Sunday & do $25 tattoos all day. We have a couple of sheets of designs to choose from (no substitutions). All walk-in, all cash, all day. If you're swinging by remember to bring your I.D. & leave the kids at home. This is the first time we're doing this, so we'll see how it goes & maybe make it a semi regular thing. See you soon.

Happy New Year everybody!!!!! 2011 is going to be a rockin' year here at the shop!! We have a few changes in mind for the shop as well as a new addition this Spring/Summer. The fabulous Ms. Dani should be here in the shop permanently do piercing & more!!! We'll definitely keep everyone updated. John Lennon Free Tattoo Day

Wed. 12/8 marks 30 years since John Lennons passing. Instead of mourning the loss we are going to celebrate him & his work. I'll be having a free tattoo day inspired by John & his art. Most designs will be lyrics from his songs, some of his sketches & there will be a drawing for a portrait of John to be scheduled for another day. As usual the strings attached are that you have to have been tattooed by me before, I get to choose the designs & you have to be able to get tattooed right then. Hope to see you all soon.

Spend $100, get a gift certificate for $120, spend $200 get $240...you get the picture. We'll have nibbles & drinks & fun. You can stop by the shop or call with a debit/credit card & get one over the phone. So pick up a gift certificate for someone on your list & get one for yourself for being so nice (or naughty, whatever).

Breast Cancer Awareness Fund Raiser

October is breast cancer awareness month so, along with Cakes & More and Quilt Time, we are raising some funds for the local breast cancer support group. Cakes & More will have pink ribbon sugar cookies for sale all month. Gypsy Rose will be doing $25.00 pink ribbon tattoos all day Sat. 10/30. And on that Saturday the 30th we will have an open house, a live radio remote with SHE 106 and a silent auction with lots of AWESOME stuff to bid on. ALL the proceeds raised will go to the Friends Against Breast Cancer Support Group here in Rapid City. If you're in the neighborhood please stop in and help support this worthy cause. Thanks!

Vegas Convention

Ok, Ok, Ok...I won't wait so long between blog posts anymore. So I just got back from the Vegas convention and had a great time. Did some cool tattooing, hooked up with some good vendors...and best of all, I got to spend a whole day learning from one of my idols, Bob Tyrrell. Vegas was great, but it's good to be home and back in the studio. This Winter is going to bring some cool events to the shop...so stay tuned.

Just got back from Red Lodge where Jim & I enjoyed the rally there...now I'm getting ready for the rally here. STURGIS 2010!!!! Hope everyone who makes it for Sturgis has a fun, safe ride! Hey all... hopefully everyone knows how much we appreciate those who serve our country. I wanted to do something for the 4th to say thanks. But I didn't want to exclude all my other people. Sooo... on Friday 7/2 I will add 20% to all gift certificates purchased that day. And as a special thanks to our military, they can put their names in a drawing 6/29-7/2 and the winner will have their choice of a gift certificate or a free patriotic tattoo (my design choice of course) Names can be entered in person in the shop or via Facebook. Thanks to all our armed forces and let freedom ring for all of us.

So my fiance & I were flipping through the lastest issue of FLASH last night & he pointed out a photo of a scorpion he thought was cool, I said "Hey I did a tattoo like that once". Turns out it WAS the tat I did. If you find yourself looking at FLASH, keep an eye out for some work by yours truly.

Hey all...
I don't know if it's just been happening more this last week, or if it's just getting on my nerves more lately. People coming into the shop determined to get some work, but they have absolutely no idea what they want or where on their body they want it. I am here to help, and I LOVE doing custom work and drawing up new things for my clients. HOWEVER, it helps me out a lot if I'm given a little something to go off of. I have recently had folks in the shop say to me "I want to get tattooed, but I don't know what I want." Now I understand maybe not knowing exactly what you want...but no idea whatsoever? Literally, they want me to draw something but don't give me any subject matter...nada. nothing, zero, ziltch. You get the picture. People I'm here to do my best and give you the tattoo that you want, just please have an idea of what it is that you do want. At the end day I really am blissed out in my job, and this really is a small irritant. Thanks for letting me rant. Take care and I hope to see you around the shop soon.

Free Tattoo Day was awesome!!!

Hey Friends & Fans!
Free Tattoo Day was a blast. I did three really cool tats on three really great people. A gypsy head, a skull & a knot. Photos are on my Facebook page & in the shop. We had a good turn out and some tasty food to eat (thanks to my Mom at Cakes & More). The tattoo winners were Deb E, Clint L & Sean L. We also drew for some tattoo & piercing gift certificates and those winners were James R, Jen D, Jen K & Bailey I. Big thanks to everyone who stopped by!!!! And "no thanks" to the one person who was all sour grapes about not getting drawn. Seriously? Bitching about how I "GIVE AWAY" stuff...give me a break! But like I assured my people on Facebook...I won't let one bad apple spoil it for the bunch. I love my clients and will keep trying to come up with fun ways to let them know just how much I appreciate them. THANKS GUYS!!!! And stay tuned...
